The Saitama City Technology Brand Companies Certification Program is among the top priorities in my manifesto “Shiawase Baizou Keikaku (Happiness Augmentation Plan)”. Since its inception in 2008, we have certified research and development companies throughout the city that excel in creative and innovative technologies and have worked towards improving their competitiveness.
Through the program, which is now embarking on its fourth year, we have conducted various forms of promotional activities for these companies as well as provided detailed support tailored to the individual needs of each company with the help of support agencies. This support has been lauded by the respective companies who have begun to reap the benefits. Also, by reevaluating companies certified in the inaugural year of the program on the basis of creativity and innovativeness and recertifying them, we will continue to provide them with support and increase their competitiveness even further.
Companies certified under Saitama City’s Technology Brand Certification Program all possess world-class advanced technologies. We will aim for even further development by remaining at the forefront of technology, with a view to ensuring that the program continues to be a significant objective for companies who will seek certification in the future. In addition, we will promote the high potential of industrial agglomeration in our city and in so doing serve as a strong leader driving not only regional industry but, I am sure, the Japanese economy as a whole..

Saitama City "Technology Brand" Companies Certification Program is a municipal system of certifi cation for Saitama's research and development companies, distinguished as they are for their high level of technical creativity and innovation.
It is projected that the Program's boost to the competitiveness of certifi ed industries will further raise the profi le and energy level of Saitama industry as a whole.

Certifi cation Period

From date of certifi cation to March 31 three years later.

About the Logo

The Saitama City "Technology Brand" Companies logo is a hand motif. The hand creates, even in the fi eld of leadingedge technology.
The hand is a symbol of Saitama City's "Technology Brand" Companies because it represents the engineers who make original concepts a reality through advanced manufacturing technology and open up unexplored frontiers.
